Well…the summer is officially over! Spent most of the day going through 24 student schedules to come up with a humane lesson schedule (for both student and professor!), putting the final preparations on my tenure packet, and getting some practice time on all three horns.  These first few weeks are really the only ones that feel like work because you’re putting out fires, arranging things, getting organized, and trying to drive around campus avoiding people who are attempting to drive and sight-see at the same time.  After all that is managed though, this is the coolest job in the world and I’m looking forward to a great semester.
